Where does
she come from?
Monstera Thai Constellation is a member of the Monstera family, which in turn falls under the genus Araceae, also known as the Arum family. The name Monstera is derived from the Latin word for "monstrous" or "abnormal," a choice that seems ill-suited in the case of the Monstera Thai Constellation. This is due to its beautiful, striking leaves characterized by a unique variegated color palette and the typical holes in the larger leaves, which are characteristic of the Monstera. These holes in the leaves are the reason Monstera also has the practical name: Swiss Cheese Plant.
Naturally, the Monstera Thai Constellation occurs in the tropical regions of South and Central America. Here, they grow along other plants and trees, climbing up to a height of 20 meters by anchoring themselves to the branches with their aerial roots. Monstera Thai Constellation is therefore considered both climbing plants and hemi-epiphytes.
